“ OMG! The smells & flavors are spectacular! If we all cooked w/ this many interesting spices & textured we'd all have an easy time getting in our veggies. Delicious; I doubt you'd think vegan if you didn't know. Service was attentive but not overbearing. A cute little restaurant w/ lots of out door seating as well. ”
“ While my husband is fully omnivorous, I don't eat mammals; this place made both of us happy. Lots of options and everything is delicious. He had a curry plate and I hade the black "pork" roti combo. really varied flavors and none of them were a dud. Portions are generous too. Spice levels are moderate, so only the heat-intolerant will need to be careful when ordering. There's a small indoor seating area and large covered outdoor seating. ”
“ I keep coming back for the bold vibrant flavors and banging rotating curries. The menu can be a little intimidating but the staff in this worker owned collective is always happy to answer questions and (figuratively) hold my hand through ordering. You order at the window, then take a number and sit. Food gets brought out. 10 indoor tables seating two or four, and lots of outdoor seating that is perfect when the weather is nice. Cocktails and n/a drinks are also very good. I've brought many an omnivore here for a rice and curry plate and none missed the lack of meat - there's so much variety of flavor and textures. ”
“ This place was so good! I tried to Devil Chick'n and my partner had the stuffed veggie roti and they were so full of flavor and not too heavy. They seem like they can get quite busy but food came out fairly quick. The cocktails were ok and a bit overpriced. I will definitely be back to try as many things as possible! ”
“ Excellent quality food. Worker-owned co-op. Ask for help with the menu if you need to limit the spice level. Love the Pol Roti flatbread, great texture (not GF but it is dairy free). Lots of outdoor covered dining. Nice small indoor dining too. ”
“ This is my first time visiting this place after hearing so many good reviews about it. I like vegetarian food places and most importantly eclectic vegetarian food places who experiment with combinations. The menu is very huge with wide variety of options to choose from and ample amount of combo options for people who want to try a little bit of everything. The ambiance of the place is really good with lot of outdoor seating and plants all around the place. The service is really good. These are some of the food options we ordered and loved each and every one of them: Rice and curry plate: Amazing combination of everything and the food was more of influenced by coconut. Impossible beef rolls: friend ordered them and she said they were delicious. Stuffed roti: was really good too They had some basic drinks. Overall, a refreshing take on vegetarian and vegan food. Really loved all the flavors. Must visit place. ”
“ Adding to the chorus! Love this space in my neighborhood. Friendly, courteous, masking/ cautious staff. Worker owned. Tons of outside seating including heaters and covered when needed. Food portions are ample, I always have plenty left over. Drink selections are slim, usually just one or two beer and wine selections but they do have that if you want it! Don't over think it - just go! ”
“ I've been to Mirisata a few times. Usually with a group of people, and I wasn't sure what to order, and the food didn't really wow me. Fast forward to today. Curry and rice had been my comfort food in the past. Lately, I've been in the mood for salads. Mirisata did not have a salad. But, the woman at the counter was very helpful with helping me pick something out. I got the Black "pork" curry with a side of rice. It was so good! Really good flavor with a slight kick. Generous portion, I took half home. I got the mango iced tea, which was good to bring the heat down a little. I liked the water cooler next to the counter. The weather was really nice, and many people sat in the outdoor dining area. I opted to sit indoors. It was really clean, and the chairs were padded, which I appreciated. ”
“ This was my first time trying Sri Lankan food and it did not disappoint! If it's your first time, get the Daily Plate, also called Today's Plate. It has a mix of everything and is plenty for 2 people. Everything was full of flavor yet light because it's all vegetarian and gluten free. They didn't ask for our spice level but I would say it's overall medium spicy. ”
